 Aamir Khan is never going to be able to live this one down. His office apparently sent out feelers to Katrina Kaif, who is in Spain, telling her that when she returns to Mumbai, he would like an audience with her. The request was put forward by Aamir on behalf of Omkar Das Manikpuri, who acts in Peepli Live. The story goes that Natha, a folk theatre actor from Chattisgarh, has had stars in his eyes ever since he came to Mumbai. At the film’s music launch, he gaped open-mouthed at Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar and others. And he’s been constantly telling Aamir how the glamour and glitz of Bollywood fascinates him. But Natha got a few facts mixed up. A unit hand says, “He told Aamir he wanted to meet Katrina. Just when Aamir was getting ready to introduce Natha to Kat, the rustic actor confused Bollywood’s most powerful man by saying, ‘I saw Love Aaj Kal and I want to meet that heroine’.” A stunned and hesitant Aamir then called Deepika. The actress, who is in Delhi, was more than accommodating and agreed to meet Natha the moment she lands in Mumbai. Aamir has to figure out how to get out of meeting Kat, now. While wondering who from among Bollywood’s heroines not yet in his phone book Natha will want to meet next. |
